DevForge Works

Self-taught developer with a background in industrial maintenance, I enjoy building simple, user-friendly systems that help people work smarter. I'm always learning, always improving, and I share the journey along the way.

About me

My name is Mattias Andersson, and I run DevForge Works. I'm a father of four, a husband, a gamer, and someone who genuinely enjoys building things with code. I'm a self-taught developer, still learning as I go. I like exploring ideas, breaking things, fixing them, and slowly making things better. I don't see myself as an expert, just someone who enjoys the craft and the process of figuring things out.

Besides getting into development, I've spent over a decade working in industrial maintenance, both on the floor and in leadership roles. That experience taught me how frustrating unclear processes and disconnected systems can be in everyday work. It also shaped how I think about software: it should be simple, practical, and actually helpful. At DevForge Works, I build small tools, systems, and experiments focused on usability and real-world problems. Sometimes it's about routines, structure, or LEAN-inspired thinking. Sometimes it's just about trying an idea and seeing where it leads.

I share much of this journey openly on my stream — the progress, the mistakes, the learning, and the small wins along the way. If that sounds interesting, you'll find the stream linked here and at the top of the page.
